The summer 2023 reading program runs from June 1 to July 31. Registration for the Summer Reading Program can be completed online or in person at the library. While in the library jump start your summer with books, movies, board games, and more. Pick up your reading trackers and a schedule of events. Please note: Library events are FREE to attend.

Summer is such a critical period to continue reading. Reading just 15 minutes a day, helps kids retain knowledge learned over the course of the previous year. Like exercise for your muscles, reading keeps your brain in shape.

Kids 3-9 years of age read 600 minutes to complete the Summer Reading Program. Once completed the students can claim a free book, a prize, and enter a bonus drawing.

Tweens 10-12 read 4 graphic novels or 2 regular junior books, bring in your slip and claim a scratch off ticket, enter for the bonus prize, and claim your book. Multiple slips can be filled out.

Tweens 13+ read 4 graphic novels or 2 regular books, bring in your slips and claim a gatorade/full size candy bar. Enter for the bonus prize and claim your book. Multiple slips can be filled out.

Attached are the events for ages 0-18 for June and July (note some of these are for all ages--kids and kids at heart). The events for adults are also attached.

Looking forward to a great summer!

Students must complete the online course and register for the field day. Students must also attend in-person field days.
